SWATUK has recently acquired the business of Accountants Consultancy and Training Co (ACT).

The company, which is based in North London, was founded and has been successfully run by Roy and Rhona Kemp for over 15 years. ACT provides compliance services, specifically audit, practice assurance and investment business reviews to small and medium sized accountancy firms. These firms are predominantly based in London, although clients are spread across the UK. The timing of the acquisition coincides with Roy and Rhona’s plans for retirement.

For SWATUK this latest acquisition is a key strategic move to develop the company’s client base within the London training and consultancy marketplace. ACT clients will now have access to a much wider range of support services including training at SWATUK’s London venue in Russell Square, as well as practice management, graduate recruitment and insolvency compliance.

Commenting on the acquisition, SWATUK Managing Director, Mike Sturgess said:
